Akshay is a senior at Carnegie Mellon pursuing a B.S. in Information Systems with an additional major in Human-Computer Interaction.
Akshay co-founded Scottie Ventures in the Fall of 2016. He is currently a student partner at Rough Draft Ventures, where he helps fund early-stage student startups. He is also one of eight Foundation Capital fellows in the country, through which he helps deploy a micro-fund as well as source companies for Foundation Capital's main fund. He will be working at Stripes Group in the summer of 2017.
In the past, Akshay served as a venture partner at NYC-based venture fund, Flatiron Investors. Prior to that, he gained experience working with startups at seed-stage fund & accelerator, Entrepreneurs Roundtable Accelerator. He simultaneously worked on product at one of ERA's portfolio companies, MuseFind. Additionally, Akshay is a Carnegie Mellon Innovation Scholar and an avid traveler.
Akshay's primary investment interests include AI, adtech, agtech, consumer SaaS, and marketplaces.
